Movie Watching 2!

<lj:music>Bad Day by Alvin and the Chipmunks</lj:music>

Woo... Movie Spree!

I haven't been watching movies for the last term, and now I'm taking REVENGE! Can't be blamed, I had a lot of assignments that time, and so was my friends, so we didn't had much time to watch movies. It's great to have a break after so many stressful things, and I can catch my breath before my final presentation/submission.

A few days ago, I was intro-ed to a job of building a stage for a fair from my friend. S$8 per hour for 10 days from 9am to 5pm. If we deduct an hour for luch every day, it would be 8x8x10=S$640. Although that will leave me with 4 days of holidays left, I accepted it. No money, no glory. My choice made Ghimsiang very sad, 'coz I promised him to buy World of Warcraft(WoW), but since I have this job, I'll have no time left for WoW.

HOWEVER! The job was cancelled 'coz the damn guy(the boss) didn't called back to confirm with us about the job. Irresponsible assholes... But it's still a good thing, I'll get to relax and enjoy my holidays!

So, today in the afternoon I met up with Kahray and Kangyan to have lunch at Subway as Ray's friend is working there. Meanwhile, I can get my WoW battlechest. We had Subway at around Clarke Quay. On our way there, I saw the phone I wanted at a singtelshop! New released Sony Ericsson W960i, and there was LG KU990 Viewty too! Damn cool man, now I can think carefully on which phone to get.

http://www.gsmarena.com/sony_ericsson_w960-2008.php

http://www.gsmarena.com/lg_ku990_viewty-2070.php

I shall think slowly, just in case I regret! Btw both are touchscreen phones.

3.15MP vs 5MP camera
WIFI vs no WIFI
Keypad vs no Keypad
8GB internal memory vs 100MB internal memory
no external memory vs optional external memory card slot(who needs that when you have 8GB?)
no QWERTY touchpad vs QWERTY touchpad
Sony Ericsson vs LG

So at Subway, saw an unfamiliar face, but both ky and kr know who she is, so sad. We had this ham sandwich footlong, split into 3 parts for us. LOL! Okay lah, still can satisfy us, there's still 2 soft cookies. AND, mustard + ham = very weird. At least for me, it's... very sour and salty at the same time. Weird but nice though >__>. We had extra 3 soft cookies from her too! That's nice of her, I love soft cookies, but I better watch my weight.

So our objective is done there, and continued to Plaza Singapura to get my WoW battlechest. At Comics Connection, guess what? It's out of stock! Haha! Not my fault, Ghimsiang! Don't scold me again! So it seems that I'll get it some other times. Ghimsiang is so gonna kill me now and shout "CAN'T YOU FREAKING GET THE NORMAL WOW INSTEAD OF BATTLECHEST!?" Yes I can, but, I'd like them to come in package of WoW+Burning Crusade, 'coz it looks nicer! In addition, it comes in DVD instead of VCDs! Good things are worth to wait, right?

MIssion failed, and back on track to Cineleisure for the movie. We went to cineleisure without contacting the another gang who will be watching with me, and we faced punishment of slacking at Cineleisure doing nothing. There were shopping at Fareast Plaza, so we had to wait for them to come. Slacking and talking cock, Ray showed us a message from the girl of Subway.

"I know Kangyan. The other one donno..."

Wah, heartbreaking content. But that wasn't surprising, that was indeed the first time I met her, how could she know me? But still... heartbreaking. )=

Finally the 3rd gang came to Cineleisure to meet us. Wow, I didn't know there's a third gang until Daniel called to meet with us. So many gangs, and it was hard to contact the first gang. They always didn't pick up the phone. Wondering how many tickets to buy, just in case there will be disappointments of having not enough tickets, we spammed calls to them. FINALLY we came in contact with them, and come to realise they bought the tickets already, with cash(S$7 per ticket).

Cool, I admit they are pro to know how many people are watching this movie in spite of having 3 seperate gangs, but they bought it with cash! There's a promotion where you can get each ticket for S$6 when you use NETS. There was some arguments 'coz one person from the first gang suggested to buy the tickets, without suggesting the use of NETS, even though he was aware of the promotion. Maybe he forgot about it, but he bought it early to prevent disappointment. So we shouldn't blame him anyway.

Alvin and the Chipmunks

-SPOILERS-

Haha, I gotta admit this is one cute movie, but the storyline wasn't interesting enough for us teenagers. Story of singing chipmunks getting 'kidnapped' to become superstar as a money-earning-tool and getting them saved is not strong enough. Despite the weak storyline, the songs they sung are way cool and cute. They remixed the song, made them catchy, and you can't help but smile at how cute they are! The story also teaches kids to prevent getting cheated by con-man who acts to be nice by giving you money and gets more out of it. But of course I don't think most kids would get that due to the weak storyline.

-END OF SPOILERS-

Super catchy songs of theirs made Kelvin and I surf around youtube for their songs after getting home. Kelvin already got the songs of their albums! So we just search around for more songs of the 'chipmunks'. Users just made the pitch of the song higher and assume them to be chipmunk version. Haha, that's easy, but the songs they edited are still interesting. You can make a search yourself!

Movie Watching!

An event out with the guys should, obviously be fun, right? I don't feel that it's fun as it used to be, compared to the last time(last year?). I wonder what's happening to us? Is it just because first year of polytechnic changed our attitude? Is it because the 'aura' of one emo-person is affecting everyone? Or is it just a trend to feel that way for everyone? I don't know man... Everything has become numb and boring, and things do not go the way we wants it to. It's so easy to feel sad these days.

Nevermind that, the trend/aura should go away after a while. Back to my day, today I went out for movies, after staying up all night on Danny's house. What we did was DotA-ing, drinking a cup of alcohol watching the "Pursuit of Happy-ness", and they went to sleep. I continued on watching Heroes until 6am and that was it. It wasn't as fun as I expected it to be, because I want to have more, be it alcohol or times spending together instead alone. We should have planned on what to do, instead of planning it there. I DotA-ed with Danny, Kahray WoW-ed alone, and Bingjian just watched us play. These are some things we can do at home, we can do something else right? Like playing interactive games, Monopoly or Poker cards. MUST plan or you'll have a not-very-exciting night.

We woked up on 9am, got back home, get washed and changed, and we met up for breakfast before the movies. Here's comes the boring part, everyone is just too reluctant to do anything, not even walking around the stores. We just went up the escalators, then stopped at the to floor, doing nothing. Okay, maybe because of the sleepless night, but we could have sat down at a corner slacking, instead of standing at the railings, doing nothing but blocking other people's way. I mean, isn't it more comfortable to sit down than hanging yourself at the railings? Must fill up empty times to satisfy everyone, or your friends would be restless.

Met up with the other movie guys, and we are off to Dhoby Ghaut. Upon reaching The Cathay, we found out that the only slot available is 7.15pm. It's 2pm then, we have like 5 hours to waste? For us guys, the only way to kill time is none other than, LAN-gaming.

*hits head*

I suppose we really cannot do other things. In addition, LAN couldn't even satisfy everyone. 7/8 play C&C Zero Hours and 8th refuse to play because he don't know how to, he played o2 jam instead. 1/7 people play Zero Hours left the game because he said it was boring. 2/2 of the people not playing Zero Hours left the LAN-centre and went to play pool, 'coz there isn't any other games to entertain them. After having enough of Zero Hours, we wanted to have something else different, and that comes to DotA. 2/6 don't wanna play, 1 quited DotA, the other one has something else on and left. After one round of DotA, 1 strongly suggests to play CounterStrike, because he isn't good at DotA. 1/4 left to play pool. Leaving 3 person to play CS. 3 ppl on CS is a joke. We played for 5 minutes and left the Centre.

This paragraph shows that we cannot do the same things together. Maybe group of 8 is too big to maintain, or we just purely have different interests. It's hard to get all of them to have fun together. Although our main objective is to watch Warlord, but I really do hope to have everyone to have fun together. It's hard. =/

The Warlords

-NO SPOILERS-

A story of 3 sworn brothers at war. Intensive fightings, which reminds of Dynasty Warriors. One person who can kill 50 people in a scene without getting a scratch. Some gores were also inside, like blowing people up with cannon, and chopping of limbs in a battle. Ouch! When they are not at war, it will be scenes of their brotherly love(not R21 that kind), and there ways of survival in the era of wars. I'm not gonna spoil it too much for you, but I really liked the battle scenes. Blood & Gore!

First Drumming Lesson!

Today I had my virgin drum lesson! Haha, I was totally anxious about it. 6pm-7pm at Plaza Singapura Yamaha. It's sad that it's 1 hour only. So we arrived there and bought the Drum Lesson book. It costs freakin' 30 bucks! Okay I admit the paper quality is good, but 30 bucks is such a pain to my wallet.

We went inside the studio. it's small... But still big enought to fill in 10 drum sets. Wow they have both electronic ones and normal ones. I used the normal ones, of course.

First it was self introduction. There are 7 guys and 3 girls. Wow, there's one girls that's cute. I remembered Hazel was her name. Hahaha... She's attractive alright, or maybe it's just because the other 2 is not. The teacher says he's a joker. I don't think so. He's a lamer. He's jokes ain't funny, lol. Haha...

First lesson, the teacher taught about posture. SItting posture, how you can hold the drumsticks, how you can step on the hi-hat pedal and bass drum. These were the first things taught. Basically, it's really flexible on how you could do these things, as long as you feel comfortable with it.

Then he taught about reading the taugay notes on the scores. Every line/spacing represent every instrument. He taught about hi-hat(highest on the score), then snare(2nd spacing from the top), and bass drum(1st spacing from the bottom). After learning these things, he taught a very basic rhythm.

That's it! Oh my god I should consider getting individual lessons, so that I can learn according to my pace. However, the individual classes I read throughout that S$30 books and I realised we will not learn cymbals for this level. Only hi-hat, snare, tombs, and bass. That's so sad. The school also have holidays, where you are paying for the month, yet getting no lessons for the holiday. This going to be one holiday that I dislike.

That's all for today. Hmm, I somehow realised that my previous blog is more interesting compared to this one. I felt that my posts is not interesting for this one, so I took some time to review my previous one. I don't know why, the previous one just seems more interesting. Maybe because I became to think too much before I blog, like

"WIll this sentence hurt someone?"
"Will that paragraph make ppl angry?"
"Wll that paragraph make me lose friends?"

I began to start blogging about my life, instead of my feelings. I suppose I should do some self-searching.

Happy Birthday... to ME!

Ah... I had a great birthday today, thanks to everyone (=

It's 11.49pm now, and my birthday will be over in another minute. I guess It would end while I'm posting this.

*1 minute later*

Yay! My birthday is officially over. Now I have to wait for another 365 days before I get to watch M18 movies legally. Let's see, what have I done today?

Early in the morning.... TERM TEST! Ah, luckily I did all of the questions, although I'm not really confident about getting all of them correct, but that's better than leaving it blank! After all that saddening 1.5hours, I'm gonna have 13 hours of fun from 11am! It all started with

"Wow! Chocolate Cake!"

Happiness don't last long...

"Then I got owned by cream..."

"Roar~! HOLLOW BANKAI! See the similarities?"

Just when my mask is going to form, they call me to wash it away. The creams keep dripping onto my clothes, and I did not brought any extra clothes! Eww, dirty clothes and hair all day. We got into some troubles after that.

"Some policemen passed us and thought we were some gang members due to our shirts. So they wanted to spot-check us."

"Then we took a photo to remember this police case."

Luckily we weren't in deep trouble so we continued on to TM(this term reminds me of something...) to watch movie. We bought a total of 15 tickets!

"Plenty of Ammos to kill you."

While waiting for our show to start, Kahray went to Yamaha to buy his drumsticks. Still having spare time, we went to Century Square to test his drumsticks on the game DrumMania. Guess what? We saw a new game! Slient Hill! It's a shooting game. Omg it looked so cool, so I tried it out...

Shoot shoot shoot....

Walao damn boring. Although the game is balanced by having maxmimum shots per second, to prevent having you trigger happy, but it's still boring. The minions can be killed in one head shot. Kahray got attacked 1st, deducting 12% of Lifepoints. However, the boss is overly powerful. No weakness were shown, we shot him to head to toe to his big sword. My god we couldn't knock him back and he slashed me, deducting 80% of my health. How imbalanced can it be!? Oh my god we got owned. Give me back my 2 bucks!

Nevermind, we change game to DrumMania. Danny sponsored me 6 bucks to play, and said that it's the leftover for the tickets. He insisted that I take it. Haha, we even tried playing together with GuitarFreaks, and played it until it was time for our movie to start...

The Golden Compass

-SPOILERS-
I didn't really enjoyed this movie. The story is quite 'Narnia', and gave me feelings of other movies like Harry Potter, Daywatch too. The director seems to be compiling magicians, animals, and shapeshifters together, hoping it would attract viewers. But this appears to mess it up. Although the graphics were good, but the battles were somehow, stupid. During the 'war', witches who just flew around shooting arrows with their bow, Imbalanced Polar Bear who can own all in a single blow, and demons don't fight much at all. I thought witches are supposed to cast spells? In addition, I paid attention to the witches flying around, and I feel that they are all the same person. I guess they are on a budget? Haha, and it seems to have part 2 for this movie, as it ended without saying much about the Dust, and the truth of the girl's parents and background. My favorite scene was the fight between 2 Polar Bears, where it ended with a finishing blow that tore the jaws of the enemy Polar Bear.

And it all comes to an end of my meaningful birthday! Continue down to another post to see more about my friend's greetings!

I'd better sleep now and get ready for tomorrow's test.

Celebrating with parents on the Eve...

Today, my parents decided to celebrate my birthday with me, thus my dad took us to eat Tim Sum at Geylang there. Upon reaching the place, we sat down. Out of a sudden an uncle appears and puts down 4 packets of tissues in front of me, on the table and says 2 dollars. We don't care him, and after that he said (in chinese),

Uncle: Don't like that, 1 dollar.
Mum: Nevermind, we don't want.
*changes targets and puts the tissue in front of my mum*
Mum: Don't want, don't want.
Father: Nevermind, we don't want.
*changes target again and puts the tissue in front of my dad.*
Uncle: Don't like that la, 1 dollar only
Father: WE ALREADY SAID WE DON'T WANT. CAN?

Wow, the stern voice drove that persistent-tissue-selling-uncle away. But why would a tissue-selling-guy comes inside? And why the staffs don't chase him out? Maybe he was too persistent to be chased out.

After eating finish my dad askes us, "Just now I very fierce?". We nods. LOL! But in that kind of situation, that was the only way to drive him away. We don't really need any tissues as wet tissues were provided in that place. In addition, he don't look over 40 years of age, and neither was he handicapped. My mum said she saw that guy at other places too. She even recalled of a super fat guy selling tissues. Now that's funny, he's already "over-healthy", and still expects people to buy his tissue at a high price out of sympathy. It's funny why wouldn't they get a job elsewhere, like even mcdonald's? Is tissue-selling really profitable? This also reminded of the persistent-pen-selling-squad around shopping centres. They sells those S$2 pens which I don't even think it's for charity. Tough questions for me to crack.

After that we went to temple to pray. I prayed for birthday presents~! Haha...
Then Giant to do some shoppings. Man, it was crowded. >_<
Finally then we went to AMK Hub to fetch my sister.
And now I'm at home, studying for tomorrow tests.

May the force of Birthday be with me.

Anyone can post a comment now. So please do! Leave your name down and don't spam. Thanks.

Yesterday was the wedding anniversary of my parents. They have been married for like... 20 years? Wow I'm so glad they are still so loving towards each other. My dad even bought a bear for my mum that will say "I Love you!" when you press his little tummy. Haha, that's cute. Although it's their anniversary, we celebrated together as a family. My dad brought us to my uncle's there to have a dinner. My uncle does 煮炒. Direct translation is cook fry. Lol~ Anyway that was a great dinner and I hope I don't get fat from that. Eat first, worry later.

Today is the last day of the term. Not officially, but next week is the start of term tests, and I haven't really did any studying about it. Ah, who cares, play first, worry later(bad example, pls don follow). Early in the morning at 11am, I had psychology tutorial. When I reached the classroom, I was informed that it's today that we need to do the project commercial draft and submit today. At first I thought we were to hand it up at the start of lesson. But that's okay, that just mean we get to leave earlier. The tutor gave us a handout to fill in about which psychological terms we will be using for the commercial. For examples are like observational learning, drive reduction, whatsoever... The tutor said that we have to use at least 2/3 of the psychological terms that we ha ve learnt! That's quite a lot, and we don't have enough. So, we had no choice but to edit our commercial. As we discussed, we begin to talk, then crap. And out of nowhere Wilson said to introduce me to Amanda and wants to give me her number.

(not totally the same conversation. I don't have super memory)

Wilson: Come come I give you Amanda's number.
Levon: ...for what?
Wilson: So that you won't be celebrating christmas alone lah.
Levon: .......................
Wilson: Why never talk? Considering liao ah? Come take her number from me lah.
Levon: ....................................................

And he begins to promote Amanda. Oh my god he is making use of all the psychological terms to psycho me. Luckily I have immunity to that! Luckily that topic went to a stop and we continued to discuss about the project. Out of nowhere again, they suggest me to wear a nurse costume and advertise that product. Watafark? It seems that my group members has a nurse fetish. They were so interested in this topic and keep talking about it. I was waiting Gabriel to say "Eh, concentrate leh." because he always did that when we got drifted away, but he didn't! I had no choice but to feel annoyed, sit there and listen to their craps. Okay, I know they are kidding, but that was kind of irritating. They finally laughed enough, and got back to work. They keep saying I'm horny, lol, what are they if I'm horny? lolololol.

Wooo...

I had my assignment done at 3am today. Actually, I was finished at 2am, until I accidentally deleted the file when I was trying to test for broken links. WATAFARK! Luckily I had the Fireworks files, and all I had to do again was the html files in Dreamweaver. I had only 3 hours of sleep, which is definitely not enough for a hardcore sleeper like me. But for the sake of my grade, it was worth it.

The things we were going to hand up today is a sketchbook, a binded ex1&2, and a disc of ex3. The tutor only said to put them in an envelop this morning -_-. So, my friends and I decided to go and buy it for the whole of the class. We bought the A4-size one and brought it back. We opened up the pack and distribute to everyone, only to find that it was TOO SMALL! Leaving us with no choice, we packed it back and took it back to exchange for a bigger one. Jolvin was a great negotiator and succeeded to change, even though the aunty wasn't too happy with it. Haha, he can be a diplomat when he grow up.

Finally all assignments are submited for this term! Now I'm left with 2 term tests - OOPG & CMATHS2. I guess it's time to study AND get ready for my birthday on Monday. I am always excited a week before my birthday, but also sad at the same time. The odds of celebrating alone is quite high, as everyone wants to study for the incoming exams. Damn.

Yay, I am officially addicted to caffeine. Without it, my brain will stop working; I cannot find the correct vocab during talking, doing homework or even chatting in msn. I will be just like a retarded guy who lost 50% of all 5 senses. I used to be okay with just 1cup, now one is NOT enough! Maybe next time I should try slapping myself to get myself awake. It's more healthy!

Today is the submission of the legendary proposal. Early in the morning I went to school to print it. I thought AS printing shop might be crowded, so I decided to go to the library to print. And WOW, half of my class is there. They said that AS printing shop happens to be infected with virus. Luckily I didn't go there get my thumbdrive killed.

Getting home after school, I went to get my Guitar Hero 3 changed. BUT, the problem lies in my PS2, not the disc. The guy say I have to modify the PS2 AGAIN, if not I cannot play the new games, which are purple discs. I realised the old games I used to play is golden disc. Damn I wasted my 8 bucks.

Tomorrow is the deadline for IDES. I'm left with ex3 and I'm still playing games. Wowa, I guess I'll have to explode the midnight oil.

Homework Overload!

Ahhh! Help me! I'm overloaded with homeworks! MMP1 proposal, IDES ex1, ex2 & ex3!

Well, not really overloaded, it's just that MMP1 is killing me. The proposal that we were made to do has so many things to think about before putting them into the proposal. I had my half-done proposal showed her today, and she explained every heading in the proposal thoroughly and even gave me suggestions on every single of them. I think it's because that I'm the first to ask her, that she gave me so many ideas, or it's just that my proposal is so weak that she decided to help me. This is both a good news and a bad news. I have many ideas = many things to do. Oh my god I need my proposal to be done before 10am tomorrow.

CMSK3 is another module that gives me headache. Like MMP1, it requires loads of research and thoughts about it. Luckily it is due on week 11, and I will have some time to do it! Let's just hope I would not slack over the holidays and panick during the day before submission >_<.

I have been a bad boy and skipped OOPG lecture and tutorial, just to take a visit to the library to get some books for the "Research" part in MMP1. After flipping here and there, I could not find the book that I want, until I took a HUGE book from the shelf, and a small book dropped out.

"your future in INFOCOMMUNICATIONS"

Wow, and it happens to contain the contents that I needed!
Money Friday

It's friday! The last day of a week that I will be going to school! How nice~

After psychology, I hanged out with friends at IT school concourse and waited for time to pass. Irving introduced me a game: Typing of the Dead. Haha, it's an interesting game of House of the Dead 2, but you type to kill the zombies. The boss fight was hilarious where one was to type out the answer of the question given, if not you lose your life. Another one was to type a paragraph, yes, a paragraph of 4 sentences. The game also consist of other funny parts where you type funny phrases like "Don't kill me!", "Go away!" & "I lost my pants", etc., and the character holds a keyboard instead of a gun. Haha, interesting game.

Until it was 3.30pm, I had to go to meet my mum and sis at tampines mall. They had Levi's vouchers and I tagged along to buy jeans for Chinese New Year. Yes, I know it's 3 months away, but no harming buying it early, right? =P

After spending money, it's time to work for some money. I went to my father's shop to work after buying my jeans. Working as what, you say? I'm helping my father to fix curtains. Well, in case you don't know, my dad does laundry, and after washing curtains, we will go and fix it up.

We reached at this 3-storey bungalow to fix around 7 curtains. Oh my god the house was messy, there were so many things and we don't have much space to put our ladder. We did 5 curtains on the first floor, and moved on to the 3rd floor. The study room was worst, I had to clear a place on the table to stand, as the table was in the way. When I was done, they said the curtains on the first floor is upside-down(or you can say left-side right), 'coz what's on the left was on the right and what's right is on the left. Err, I hope you get it. My reaction was,

"NOOOOOOOOOO~~!!!"

Omg we have to re-fix the curtain on the first floor. So, I re-fix the first floor while my dad continues at the 2nd floor. When he was done at the 2nd floor, he came down to help me. And our finale was to stick this curtain(3rd layer) on the living room. The stick-on part is like those kind on those old type wallet, you know, one part sharp sharp, one part furry furry, and when they meet they stick. Lol I hope you understand, and that thing is so damn long and not very sticky. ~_~ But we managed to get it done, haha.

My work was done but my father still had to collect laundry. There was this place at the condo, where my father parked at a empty resident's lot. A security guard came and told us to park at the visitor's lot, but it was full so we told her so. But she insist that we go further in to park. Hello~ We are just collecting laundry, how long can we take? My parents went up and I got out of the car to feel the breeze. This security guard came back and told me to tell my father not to park here as residents is complaining, saying that "Who's car is that? Why is he parking here", whatsoever. Wow, the residents there has super memory power and remember everyone's car in that condominium. So I told her that it's gonna just take a while and she goes on blabbering. I feel like telling her this:

"HEY! You looked familiar! You must be the clamp-fire-engine security guard! Just follow law right? Since when did you change your gender?"

But nevermind, I don't think she watch Just Follow Law anyway. She walked one round and came back to take down our car plate number. Lol, I can't, and don't need to stop her so I let her do what she wanted. Gah, irritating.

As stated, this is a very different thursday, as most thursday I skip school. Haha, well, I decided to be a good kid and go school today as I wanted to go Kelvin Chen Wei Lian's concert in school today. OOPG lecture was normal, CMATHS2 lecture was boring. I even plugged in my MP3 and still paying attention to the lecturer. Looking at the notes is sufficient, hearing what she say is just a waste of time, lol. How I missed last semester's lectuer Goh Kai Song. )=

There is no APEL today AGAIN. Last week I wanted to skip APEL and luckily it was cancelled. Today I came, it's still cancelled. >_> I'm gonna think twice about coming to school on every thursday now. Can't he inform us a little earlier if APEL is going to be cancelled on every thursday?

After cmaths, it was still 3 hours away from the concert, and we decided to do something to kill time. We went to SAFRA to play bowling. I don't know how many years has passed since I played bowling for the last time. After a long wait(GAH, primary & secondary school holidays), it was finally our turn, but we are left with like, 45 minutes? 4 out of the 6 of us each had a round of bowling. Oh my god, I'm just embarrasing myself. Gutter gutter and gutter... But I had a lucky strike and a lucky spare (=. That saved my face. Haha.

On the right lane, there was training for some teenagers, and WOW, girls with mini skirts playing bowling.

Err, nevermind that. What really caught our attention was this guy 2 lanes left from us. He had really 'unique' warm-up style, and unique throw, and unique aiming.

This is how he warm-up: Standing stationary, left hand 90 degrees, right leg crossed to the back, and swing his right arm for 3 times and threw the ball.

This is how he get ready before shooting a ball: grabbing the ball with his right hand, and rub the ball will his left hand. He rubbed so hard and he was like a chicken flapping wings. Try it yourself!

This is how he threw the ball: I don't know how to say it but, he jerked his shoulders before throwing the ball. It looked like he is dancing pop.

After watching and laughing at him(secretly, of course), Devon & Weixiang decided to mimick him. They did the chicken style. And OMG they both got a strike. That must be some powerful ritual stance to score strike! I must try it the next time I play! Chunfu said the guy saw Devon and WX mimicked him, and don dare to do the chicken style le. HAHA! Sorry, unique bowling-style guy.

After rushing back to school, it was 6pm sharp, and there was a long queue. Until around 6.20pm we finally get to go to the auditorium. After a short while, the host(933 DJ Jia Hui) came out. She wanted 2 volunteers to go up to the stage and play a game, and the prize is a Nokia phone.

The rule was to have them to take turns to sing a sentence of a different song. Oh why didn't I know his songs! I want that free phone! In the end, 2 guys of the fan club want to compete. They singed, well you know, not very good. lol, and one guy lost because he repeated a same song.

At 6.50, Chen Wei Lian finally came out, and sung 4 songs, which took about 30 minutes and it was time to go home. Well that was quick.

Getting home on a bus after that, I had a teenage girl sitting beside me. She was on the phone telling his father that he will be bringing his manage home. She said about manager bringing some products to let the parents know about what their company is selling 'coz her mother thinks her job is cheating other people. Upon hearing that, I know it's Multi-Level Marketing(MLM). I think the girl is around 15 years old or so, as she said on the phone he was going for her secondary school camp. It seems that MLM is really targeting teenagers, from my past experience with Coslab, Kahray's introduction to his company, my friend's indonesian cosmetic company, my friend's brother's Sunshine empire. I suddenly felt being smart for not joining their company. Hah!

Today when I woke up, I saw that it was bright outside the window. Then I thought to myself:

"What date is today?"

"..................................................."

"What the fuck!? It's wednesday today! I need to wake up at 6am!"

I took a look at my handphone, it's 9am. My alarm clock failed me AGAIN! What's worst, we are going to choose a project topic for IDES today! I panicked, 'coz I was so scared that I couldn't choose a good topic. Thus, I called Chunfu, hoping he will be late too.

Chunfu: Mushi mushi, Pizza Hut Delivery Service.
Levon: Yo Chunfu where are you!?
Chunfu: In classroom.
Levon: What the fuck I just woke up sia. You all chose the topic le mah?
Chunfu: Choosing now, teacher is going around checking our Freehand doc. then choose topic. Then you taking cab down ah?
Levon: No la, late liao, might as well take bus. I think I will be reaching school at 10am.
Chunfu: Wah 10am, pro.
Levon: Okay, I coming liao. Bye
Chunfu: Orh okay, byebye.

Well, since I was late, might as well take my own sweet time. Then I dressed up, and took a look at my watch.

"4.30 - 28th"

Wow, my watch stopped, but it's working when I wore it, I wonder what happened to my watch. It weird that my alarm clock at 6am didn't ring, and now my watch stopped working. TIME IS TRYING TO KILL ME!

Anyway,

After I reached school at 10am, I managed to pick a topic that I know I can do - Educational(Informatics & IT School). In this way, my research for my MMP1 can be used in IDES, and vice-versa! Plus, Researching in school isn't a very bad idea. I know about my own school, and I have no problems taking pictures!

Haha~

And then it was CMATHS2. I got back my test paper: 16.5/21. As usual, careless mistakes took away my marks, and I have absolutely no idea how to do the last question! Until teacher showed us an answer with only 1 step. WTF, that one step is 4 marks.

By the way,

Speaking of tests, OOPG term test is actually on my birthday! DAMN IT! I know you forgot about it, IT'S 10TH DECEMBER! And that's 12 days away from now. This is the first time of having to go to school on my birthday, and for TERM TEST! This will be the 'greatest' birthday present of my life.

Holy crap.

Today is Tuesday, the day of going for 2 hours MMP1. We were going to present a entry of our work for a class, but we weren't arranged by index number for who-go-first, thus I prepared my speech in my head, and waited for my turn.

I waited...

and waited....

and waited...

until I nearly fell asleep. Lol. When it was finally my turn, I was so tired that my mind went total blank! I forgot what I wanted to say, and I even have trouble answering the teacher's questions! That was embarrassing, I need more coffee each morning. I've realised something too, my tutor always have something to say about my sketchbook.

"Why is there no title?"
"What is this page about?"
"You need your title."
"You need more content."
etc.

Every week she checks my book, she has something to say about it. I don't hear that when she looks at someone else's sketchbook with no title! Is my sketchbook that bad? >_>

After school Ray and I went to Plaza Singapura Yamaha to pay our fees for December lessons. We've realised something, it's NOT 80 bucks for 4 months. It's 80 bucks PER MONTH, for 4 months. LMAO, that's why I felt weird when I thought the lessons were so cheap. In addition, we need to buy the textbook, and drumsticks. Luckily my sister is willing to give me her drumsticks, and I get to save some money.

I shall move on to do IDES assignments. I need to finish it by 6am tomorrow I don't have much time left! I still need my beauty sleep!

Just another Monday

Finally, it was the end of the boring school hours. I had a long day of 9am to 7pm, a total of 10 freakin' hours in school, of which 2 subjects are uber boring. First it was the 2 hours of CMSK3, then the 6pm Psychology lecture by my boring tutor.

CMSK3 - Communications Skills 3: Information Literacy for Effective Communication. Everything was going fine until we changed tutor. For the past few weeks, we had a teacher who teaches fine, and I can say she's good to be with, but now we have a different teacher. Changing a teacher isn't a good news, unless the previous teacher sucks to the core. Changing a teacher means that she will use a new teaching method, and has difference views for answers, which made us really confused on what to write. There were parts where the previous teacher agrees to, but she does not. In addition of what I don't like about this new teacher is that she slangs, and speaks very softly. I CAN'T HEAR YOU! She talked about our CMSK3 report, but I could barely understand. Although she asked "Are you with me?", "Do you all understand about this?", I know I don't understand, 'coz I don't even know what is she trying to say. Let's just hope that it's just me, and I hope to get use to her teaching methods.

Psychology is another boring subject today. It was none other than my boring tutor. How I missed that interesting Jeff for lecture. Today he told us more about our Psychology project, about our making of commercial. He showed us a couple of average, above average and distinction video commercials made by other students. What I could remember best was the worst one - The Coffee Maker.

The commercial was all about making coffee, showing us 2 people making coffee for 2 minutes. What an "interesting" commercial.

The item that I am going to advertise with my group is a screwdriver. I wonder how innovative my commercial can get with that.

After all that boring things, I was walking home with my MP3 plugged into my ears. Walking, skipping, dancing, and singing with all that music until...

"KRAKKKK!"

All my attention was onto what I just stepped on. What the fuck, it's a snail. I'M SORRY SNAIL! All my walking, skipping, dancing and singing with the music has led to your death. May you reincarnate into better life.

After I went home, I saw this cockroach. Without hesitation, I grabbed a newspaper and whack it! FUCK YOU, PEST! I'm sorry cockroach, I'm biased.

I'm totally exhausted now... It's been a long day...

Today I went to work with Kah Ray. In case you didn't know, we're some flyer-boys in little-india(Around Farrer Park). Before that, I went to Kovan and bought Guitar Hero 3 for PS2, without a guitar. Well, it's out of stock, you see, but the guy says a wired guitar controller costs around 55 bucks and a wireless one costs 65 bucks. Let me think again about getting one.

After that I met with with Kah Ray and went to Dhoby Ghaut. We went to check out on the Drumming Lessons in Yamaha. It costs S$80+S$20 for registration fees, one hour lesson per week for 4 months. We each reserved a place for that lesson and have to pay latest by this coming Tuesday. Kah Ray said he want to vent his emotions into the drums, and get rid of the uneasy feelings inside him. Gah, Relationship problems.

And we are off to work. We had 8000 flyers and 8 "protest boards". In case you were wondering, it looks like this:

The picture above was taken 2 weeks ago, I didn't take any photos today.

Okay, for some piracy reasons I cannot show the contents of the board, but it's just that with several thousands of flyers(in indian languages). Everything was going fine until it rained.

WHAT THE FUCK.

All the indians in the field(as shown above) ran and took shelter in the narrow ways. You can imagine it is FLOODED with them. We had no choice and found a place to take shelter while giving out flyers. We were squeezed, with many people walking past in that narrow place and I can tell you it's no good experience. There were many indians who asked us about the contents.

"Err, what is this about?" He(They) asked.

"Err, I think is you buy for S$X and get value of S$Y" I said.

*And they starts bombarding me with questions*

Me, interrupting them "There a booth at Mustafa there and you can ask more about it."

HELLO, IT'S IN INDIAN, I DON'T UNDERSTAND IT! We weren't informed of the contents of the flyer! Anyway we just gave out the flyers until it is all gone...

And now, I'm exhausted, for standing for several hours in the bad weather. I guess I'm weak, huh.
